Where do you write? Every writer has their own spot, whether it’s a cozy corner, a designated office, or somewhere unexpected. For me, my writing space depends entirely on what I’m creating.

My Poetry Writing Process

When it comes to poetry, I write them in my iPhone, using Google Keep. Then, I transfer these drafts to MS Word on my laptop, where I refine and expand. I might be at my desk or comfortably curled up in bed—either place works, as long as I have the freedom to let thoughts flow naturally.

Writing Chapbooks: A Bed-Only Zone

Writing a chapbook, however, is a different experience. For reasons I can’t fully explain, I always have to be in bed, laptop open, to get the words just right. Sitting at my desk feels restrictive, almost as if it interrupts my thought process. Editing is similar; chapbooks are best reviewed in bed, while poetry can go either way.
