A Rare Publishing Win
I got it right on the first try. The proof arrived, I opened it, and the book cover…the spacing, the typography, the placement…all of it landed exactly as intended. No second proof. No revisions. No tweaks. If you’ve ever gone through the paperback proof process, you know how rare that is.
One word: satisfied.
Designing the cover for As a Courtesy… mattered just as much as writing it, because I can bring the vision in my head to life. The mirror, the restraint, the negative space. Everything needed to feel intentional, unsettling, and composed. Seeing it printed, in my hands, confirmed that the vision translated from screen to paper without compromise. The unboxing reel below captures that moment: the proof arriving, the first open, and the realization that I know what the fuck I’m doing.
About As a Courtesy…
As a Courtesy… is a psychological horror chapbook about access, permission, and the illusion of privacy. It follows a meticulous homeowner who believes control comes from seeing without ever being seen — until quiet surveillance fractures into obsession and harm. The book drops March 3 (Blood Moon / Full Moon Lunar Eclipse) and will be available on Amazon Kindle, Kindle Unlimited, and paperback.
