Black Cherry is a provocative piece from the Abstract Distortions series, where photographic manipulation and digital collage transform fragments of the body into surreal erotic symbolism. The work centers on a vivid cluster of cherries suspended in cream, drawing the viewer into an intimate composition where sensuality, color contrast, and visual tension intersect. Ultraviolet tones set against a dark atmospheric field create a dramatic focal point, allowing the cherries to function simultaneously as fruit, icon, and metaphor within the evolving visual language of the Abstract Distortions collection.
Contemporary Erotic Pop Surrealism by Baroque Medusa

The piece was constructed through a process of dissecting and recombining original photographs. Elements of the composition originate from separate photographic studies that were digitally manipulated and layered to form a collage-style image reminiscent of a stylized magazine cover. The cherries themselves were sourced from the cover of my first published book, Only (Fans) Fund$, then isolated and reintroduced into a new visual environment where they become the central narrative element.

Within the Abstract Distortions series, Black Cherry explores how familiar imagery can be stripped from its original context and rebuilt into something unexpected. Through distortion, contrast, and deliberate fragmentation, the work blurs the boundary between photography and surreal composition while continuing my exploration of transforming everyday objects and personal imagery into bold visual statements.
