VACANT Arts Journal Unveils Volume 1 Cover Ahead of January 2027 Debut
The maiden voyage is taking shape!
We’re excited to reveal the official cover of VACANT Arts Journal, Volume 1, arriving January 2027.
Featuring bold typography, an abstract brushstroke, and our signature palette of crimson red, charcoal, and light azure, the cover reflects the independent and unconventional spirit behind VACANT.

A New Space for Independent Creators
Founded by co-editors-in-chief Baroque Medusa and Collin J. Rae, VACANT Arts Journal was created to showcase independent artists, photographers, poets, and writers.
Our mission is simple: provide a platform for creative expression without unnecessary barriers or submission fees.
For our inaugural volume, we’ve chosen to embrace the unexpected. No theme. No creative restrictions beyond our submission guidelines. Just a thoughtfully selected collection of original work and the voices behind it.
Final Call for Submissions: October 31
There’s still time to be part of our maiden voyage.
Submissions for Volume 1 close October 31, 2026, on Halloween.
We welcome visual art, photography, poetry, and prose. There are no submission fees.
Visit our VACANT Arts Journal page to review the submission guidelines and submit your work.
